‘This has to stop’: plea by survivors of deadly IDF strike on school in Gaza

NB: About 160,000 Palestinians have been killed, injured or are missing in Gaza or the West Bank due to the genocidal attack by the American proxy, Israel. Many of them are children, some of whom have had amputations without anesthesia. Had even a fraction of Americans or Europeans been treated in this way we can imagine what ‘the world’ would have said. But these are merely Palestinians. The debate between theism and atheism is suspended on an ethical bridge: that bridge is called Evil. If the problem does not exist for you, or if you think it is ‘merely’ theological, then I make bold to say that you have embraced evil.

All these acts are a huge burden of monstrosity, and they need to be kept in mind by all commentators who pretend to forget that antisemitism is historically a Christian form of bigotry, emanating from the Gospel according to Matthew in the Bible; according to which Jews owned the responsibility for the crucifixion of Jesus. Also to be recalled is that Arabs are a semitic people; and that all three Abrahamic faiths are semitic. Here’s an informed comment about a supposedly antisemitic slogan: It’s Time to Confront Israel’s Version of “From the River to the Sea”

A great part of Israeli and Anglo-American society seems to think that the Holocaust gave the Israeli state perpetual legitimacy for every act of terrorism and violence it might commit. But this is a moral trick: if the eternal guilt is a poisonous doctrine, so is eternal victimhood. The sad truth is that the Shoah has been owned by Israel as its moral foundation. This means quite simply, that it will revisit the Shoah repeatedly for its entire existence. The brunt of the price will be paid in the blood of the innocent.

Early on Saturday morning, Louay Nasser decided to perform the dawn prayer in the classroom he and his family are living in at Tabeen school in Gaza City, rather than go across the courtyard to the mosque. That decision may have saved his life.

As soon as he stood up to start praying, there was what he described as a “bright red light” and the sound of a strong explosion. The 30-year-old ran outside to see what had happened and froze in shock at the scene before him.

“There were pieces of men, women and children lying in front of me … heads separated from bodies, hands and legs all over,” Nasser said. “It was very difficult, but the worst was the man who was on fire, running and screaming. We ran over to him and put out the fire. He had burns all over his body to a massive degree.”

At least 80 people were killed in three Israeli missile strikes on the school, where about 6,000 displaced people were sheltering, according to the health ministry in the Hamas-run territory. The attack is one of the single deadliest during more than 10 months of war between the Palestinian militant group and Israel, following Hamas’s 7 October attack in which it killed about 1,200 people, mainly civilians, and took 250 hostages…..
