The events of the past year are a relentless war crime that has already resulted in 150,000 dead, missing or injured persons, with nearly 17,000 dead children. Western politicians (British Labour and American Democrats included) and media which pretend as if history began on October 7, 2024, (no, it most definitely did not) and are now bleating about the ‘day after Gaza’ are shameless racists: if a fraction of these numbers of their own citizens had been exterminated in this way, what would they have been saying today?
This is an ongoing catastrophe, enacted by a lawless regime, a total failure of global institutions, a victory for the merchants of death and a death blow to all ideologies of the ‘free world’ and democracy. You are criminals and you know it. ‘Catastrophic situation’ at children’s hospital as Israel renews Gaza attacks
The director of the only major hospital in the northern Gaza Strip now offering specialised care for children has described a “catastrophic situation” as Israeli forces launched new ground assaults and airstrikes in the north and centre of the territory. Dr Husam Abu Safiyeh, the director of Kamal Adwan hospital in Beit Lahiya, said it had not been possible to comply with an Israeli army order to evacuate all patients within 24 hours.
“We have seven cases in intensive care … all these cases are very severe and they all need intensive surgical or medical care,” he said. “Moving or transporting these patients puts their life in serious danger, it is not possible to transfer them. In addition, there is no facility in Gaza that has capacity to take them as they are all overrun with their own similar cases.”….
Israeli strike kills at least 28 Palestinians at school in central Gaza
An Israeli airstrike killed at least 28 people and wounded dozens more sheltering at a school-turned-shelter in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, on Thursday, the Palestine Red Crescent Society said. The attack on the Rafidah school injured at least 54 Palestinians, according to the Red Crescent. Hospital officials have confirmed the death toll. The Israeli military said it struck “terrorists who were operating inside a command and control center” at the school compound, saying “numerous steps” were taken to protect civilians. CNN cannot independently verify the claim.
CNN footage showed children being carried into ambulances, their faces covered with blood, and many of them screaming and crying. One girl lay on the hospital floor, wearing only underpants, shaking and covered in blood, with severe burns on her body. “Am I going to die?” the girl asked medical workers at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital. “What happened?” The strike tore down the walls of the school, covering its rooms with blackened debris. Responders and survivors dug through the wreckage trying to recover bodies…..
