NB: The bitter pain inflicted upon the Palestinian people over the past two years, and indeed for over eight decades remains with many of us. It continues to unfold. We can only hope that the people of the world will see this terrible and undeserved fate for what it is; and (especially) make amends to the children of Gaza, tens of thousands of whom were killed or maimed. God bless you little ones; may you find peace. The world was too cruel to hold you.
A happy new year to my readers. Save yourselves, stand up and say no to injustice. It’s all we can do. DS
The wild warblers are warbling in the jungle
Of life and spring of the lustruous inundations,
Flood on flood, of our returning sun.
Day after day, throughout the winter,
We hardened ourselves to live by bluest reason
In a world of wind and frost,
And by will, unshaken and florid
In mornings of angular ice,
That passed beyond us through the narrow sky.
But what are radiant reason and radiant will
To warblings early in the hilarious trees
Of summer, the drunken mother?
